Greg Smith & My Father’s Son

A double release show at Heartwood Concert Hall for songwriters Greg Smith and My Father’s Son.

Greg Smith Music

Greg Smith brings us Michael, the sequel to his 2016 EP Iris. The songs of Michael explore the life of the titular character from childhood to no-good and leaves us to find in it, our own truth. Michael was recorded with Paul Clifford at Jawshop Studios in Walter’s Falls, Ontario. The building which holds the studio was once the workshop of Greg’s great grandfather Walter Lemon, a tailor, postman and barn roofer.

My Father’s Son

My Father’s son’s Sophomore album The Greatest Thaw comes with a deep respect for traditional folk music, delivers vivid soul-searching lyrics and an intimate acoustic sound intensified by orchestral additions. The Greatest Thaw was recorded at Freckles Farm with Paul Pfisterer (The Beauties, Rhye) in Mono, Ontario. The record was mixed by OIART’s Dean Nelson, and mixed by Martin Davis Kinack (Stars, Broken Social Scene, Sarah Harmer, Hayden).
